We're walking for the RFDS in support of Dad's cancer surgery this October
This October, we're taking on a month-long walking challenge to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). More personally, it's a way for my family to show morale support for our Dad as he has surgery for prostate cancer this month.
Together we're aiming to walk 360km in October - that's the distance Dad will travel for surgery. It's like walking to our front gate 125 times!
Gents, please take the time to visit your doctor and ask for a PSA test, then repeat every few years. Dad's has been detected early as he insisted on that PSA test and the prognosis for full recovery is good.
The RFDS is also important to us, it provides such an important service for regional Australians. My brother was flown by RFDS as a toddler from Narrabri.
We'd really appreciate if you can donate or join our team. Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying, and we can show Dad he has a team of supporters on this journey.
