Why I'm running
I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This year, I’m taking on the Ocean to Outback challenge to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS)—an organisation that means a great deal to me, my family and many people living in regional and remote Australia.
Just before Christmas 2025, my dad suffered a heart attack and needed to be flown to Perth for urgent, life-saving treatment. It was an incredibly frightening time for our family and showed us firsthand how important access to emergency medical care is, particularly when specialist treatment may be hundreds of kilometres away.
As a volunteer firefighter, I also see the vital role the RFDS plays in supporting our communities. We attend serious road crashes and emergencies across remote farming areas, where distance and isolation can make an already difficult situation even more critical. In these moments, the RFDS provides a lifeline—bringing highly skilled medical care when and where they need it most.
I’m running to give back and help ensure the RFDS can continue providing this essential service to families, travellers, farmers and emergency responders across regional and remote Australia.
Every kilometre I run will be for the people who have relied on the RFDS and for those who may need them in the future. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help keep the Flying Doctor in the air and give someone the best possible chance when every minute matters.
Thank you for supporting my challenge and this incredible service.
