Why I'm walking
My family and I are taking part in the RFDS Oceans to Outback Challenge together because we have all either lived in or travelled to some pretty remote locations around Australia and love the freedom of exploring regional and remote places.
This has made us appreciate just how vital the Royal Flying Doctor Service is. When people are hundreds of kilometres from a hospital, the RFDS can be the difference between being isolated and receiving lifesaving medical care.
We would be truly grateful for any support, whether that's a donation, sharing our page, or simply cheering us on throughout October.
My family and I are fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
My family and I are coming together as "TEAM PERRY" to take part in the RFDS Oceans to Outback Challenge.
Although we currently live in different states, we have all experienced living, travelling and exploring remote and regional locations around Australia, and this gives us a beautiful way to work towards something meaningful as a family as we understand how vital the RFDS can be when medical care is hours and many kilometres away.
Every kilometre we complete will connect us, not only with one another, but with the people and families who rely on the Royal Flying Doctor Service during some of the most frightening and most vulnerable moments of their lives and every kilometre will be completed with gratitude, for the RFDS teams providing vital care whenever it is needed.
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor Service flying and continue their life-saving work.
Please donate, no matter how small, to our challenge today!
