Why I'm running
🏃♀️ OCEAN TO OUTBACK – Running for the RFDS ❤️✈️
This challenge means a little more to me than simply clocking up the kilometres.
I love the ocean, but I live and work in the Outback as a local police officer — so the RFDS slogan “Ocean to Outback” couldn’t be more fitting.
Living around 900km from Brisbane, I see firsthand just how much remote communities like ours depend on the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
I’ve seen the RFDS called out in the middle of the night when someone in our community needs urgent medical care. Out here, distance can mean the difference between receiving lifesaving treatment or simply being too far away from it.
When you live in the Outback, the sound of that RFDS aircraft arriving means help is here. ❤️
That’s why I’m taking on the RFDS Ocean to Outback Challenge — to raise money for an incredible service that is quite literally a lifeline for people living, working and travelling in rural and remote Australia.
Every kilometre I complete is for our Outback communities and the amazing RFDS crews who are there for us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
✈️ From the Ocean to the Outback, every kilometre counts.
If you can, please support my challenge by donating. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps keep the Flying Doctor flying. ❤️
Let’s get some kilometres on the clock! 🏃♀️✈️🌊🌾

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
33
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
21
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
19
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
