Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
In memory of my dad, who my kids called 'Gan Gan', Mum, Javan and I are taking on the challenge in October to walk and raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
For us personally, without the flying doctors, our family would not have been able to be with dad at his end of life. We are eternally grateful that they were able to bring him home.
For those living in remote, rural and regional areas of Australia, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away. Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Please help us help the RFDS continue this amazing work!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
2
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
1
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
1
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
