Stride-al Waves Runs for RFDS
Hey Aussie’s! This is Lilly, Mitchell and Harry. We are just a small group “Stride-al Waves” trying to raise awareness into the community about the amazing efforts of the RFDS and why we need them.
Australia is a big country, for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive. With accidents and health scares happening more frequently on farms, stations and our smaller towns, we really need this amazing team of professionals to aid us in desperate times.
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes! But, slowly, this number could lessen.
This October, my team and I are taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. We will be running a total of 87kms each for the month. We have a goal of raising $500.00 with the hope to raise much more for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). With your help, it’s possible!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work; your families and friends and fellow aussies depend on this amazing service. Please donate to our challenge today. Every cent counts.
