I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Palya friends, fam and everyone in between.
This October, us lil Peaceful Bay rats are gonna be doing the Oceans to Outback Fundraiser in honour of our beautiful friend Laura, whose life was saved by the Royal Flying Doctor in 2023 after a horrific car accident.
It’s a bloody blessing to be able to hit the tracks at Peacefuls and have a yarn and a laugh with Lau. We were really lucky the RFDS was there that day.
Fast forward a couple of years and a couple of massive challenges that have been overcome, some we’re still pushing through – and we’ve made it to our third-year fundraising for this wicked cause.
As someone who’s lived majority of my life down the coast or out in the bush, the RFDS is incredibly important to me. It’s a safety net for everyone I love and who surrounds me.
Please consider chucking a donation to RFDS if ya can. Alternatively, as always, look out for your mates. Don’t be shame to tell them to put their seatbelt on, to slow down or take those damn keys if they’re too cut to drive.
This year I’m starting this challenge in the outback – Kaltukatjara Community, NT. As luck would have it, I’m driving South with a mate for a few weeks of holiday, to home Kinjarling/ Albany. So the Outback to Ocean thing is gonna be a bit of a reality this year.
