I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

I’ve experienced firsthand just how incredible the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is during one of the most important moments of my life, the birth of our first child, Laiken. From the moment we were in need, the care and support I received from the RFDS team, both on the flight and during the ambulance transfer, was nothing short of exceptional.

They went above and beyond in ways I could never have expected, like taking photos and videos of those precious first moments that I still treasure more than four years later, to contacting me the following morning to check in. What could have been an incredibly stressful and frightening experience felt safe, comfortable, and even joyful, thanks to their professionalism, compassion, and kindness.

This experience showed me just how vital the RFDS is to families, communities, and people in remote or urgent situations. Their dedication and service changed our lives, and it’s why I’m fundraising, to give back and help support the amazing work they do every day for so many others.
