Why I'm walking
In November 2025 my husband was airlifted from regional South Australia to Adelaide with RFDS whilst in a coma. Without RFDS he would not have been cared for in ICU as quickly as he was and most likely would not be here today. He is unable to participate in O2O at this stage so I will walk on his behalf to raise funds for RFDS.

November 2025 RFDS airlifted my husband from regional South Australia to Adelaide whilst in a coma. I was able to track this flight before driving the 4.5 hrs to Adelaide.
Without RFDS he would not have been cared for in ICU, as quickly as he was, and most likely would not be here today.
Hubby is not able to participate in the O2O this October, so I’m taking on a month-long challenge to walk 87km on his behalf to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
25
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
16
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
14
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
