Why I'm walking

I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away. BTW I did not write this. It is a default post. Well obviously, I just wrote what I just wrote, duh. But you get what I mean, right? Sorry, I have to go; my gymnastics lesson is today, and I do not want to miss it! :)

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year

My Updates

Yawn.

Sunday 11th Oct
Hello again. How are you. I am tired.
Today Rachel, Mum and I did a 6.7 km walk with our walking group (which is basically all made up of old people-apart from us, obviously-so it is not too much fun).
That’s it.
Basically.
Ok maybe I should go now.
Goodbye.

Saturday 10th Oct
Nothing much to report. Did 3.8 km. That's about it. Rachel, Dad and I walked to the Red Cross Shop, to visit Mum, who volunteers there. Then I bought Dad a tie.
That's basically it.
It's super late, so bye.
Goodbye.
Ok bye for real now.

Friday 9th Oct
Well, hello again. Nothing much has happened. Well, apart from the fact that I just walked 5 km.
But that is not much.
So.
Ok this is getting weird now so I should probably go now.
Sorry.
Goodbye.

Thursday 8th Oct
Hello. Again. Well, nothing much has happened. I went for a 1 km walk with Mum and Rachel (this is the first time she has actually taken a walk and has helped with the challenge because she has been sick for a week or two. :( Well, anyway, that's practically it. I know, I know, you probably think me lazy but yesterday I did 9 km and to add on to that, it was Butterfly week in my swim squads training yesterday evening, which takes the breath out of you, big time, and Mum told me that this supposedly is a rest day, even though Rachel and I are going to gymnastics training tonight. I am planning on running/walking around the house later to get more km. Anyway, I have to do my Duolingo now. Bye.

Wednesday 7th Oct
Ok. Hi again. Yesterday, at (practically) bed time (and I am definitely not saying that I do go to bed at that time), 7:30 (ok I admit maybe it wasn't bedtime but it was still late), Mum and I walked 1 km around the block. I know, boring. But today, I've walked nearly 9 km with Mum! So yeah. So tired right now. I really must dash now. My mother is offering me some really, really, really, REALLY ok you get the point delicious stir-fried noodle-chicken thing which I had last night. It is SO good. Ok I hear you say "ok, ok we get the point-eat it!" so I will do what you say and shut up. Ok, goodbye, I have to shut up before I start rambling on about something which is totally irrelevant. BYE!

Tuesday 6th Oct
Um hello. I have no idea what this is, but my sister, who has recently posted "SICK!!", has told me about this blog thing. Sorry I did not find this out on the 1st. I can fill you (reader) in on my walks. Firstly, on the 1st of October, I didn't walk because Mum, Dad and I were a bit distracted about the fact that Rachel was sick with the flu, but on the 2nd, Mum and I went 4 km. Then every day after that, I went on a 4 km walk or an 8 km walk. Boring, right? Not at all. Walks are always interesting; whoever's reading this right now, take a walk and see for yourself. Also, if you take a walk right now, you will be able to log some more km. This super long blog post is probably boring, so I will stop now. Hopefully I have exciting adventures tomorrow so that I won't just keep droning on and on and on. Anyhoo, I must flee. My mother is serving me quiche and a mug of soup: YUM! :) Now, if you will excuse me, I must put my stomach muscles into use.
