I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

As you are all aware our family has utilised their services more than once. from my daughter at 4 months old when she wasn't able to feed or breath properly to having bronchial asthma, then again 3 years ago when needing surgery, Myself when I spiral fractured my femur and it was too severefor the surgeonshere to fix, My step Granddaughter when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, also my niece when she was kicked in the face by a bull when she was working on a station in the middle of the NT.

Without the Royal Flying Doctors and their amazing services they provide we would not be here where we are today, So what better way to thank them by taking a few hours out of our day to get out and pound the pavement and raise some money while get some fresh air and fit while doing it, it's the least we can fo.

So this October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services.
