Necessary to catch up with chores around the rural property as October enters and essential clearances meet Shire requirements. ‘Restricted Burning 🔥 Period’ as the the weather conditions dry the land in preparation for Summer Heat. 🙏Beyond Jurien Bay 02/10/26
Drove north to additional Coastal Towns, Green Head & Leeman to see what activities were supporting RFDS there. Posters outlining a Welcome to, Dynamite 🧨 Bay where they had arranged a BBQ Sausage sizzle for locals & visitors as fundraising for RFDS. ✅ Returned to JBay & visited local businesses to raise awareness & seek their support over the October month. All very receptive 👍 as donations ‘hit’ my page from previous days. Late afternoon rural walk to keep up my mileage - 7:40kms. ✅Visited several Local Businesses promoting RFDS awareness and fundraising
Keep an eye 👁️ out to see Who responds. All were Very receptive to my visit ✅RFDS walking to raise awareness & funding
Commenced day 1 at the Jetty Cafe in Jurien Bay. Backpack, Aqua & Phone for pictures. Trail goes along Indian Ocean foreshore, with offshore islands & White Sandy beaches. Warming climate is now bringing the ‘native’ wildlife out along to share the Pathways. Lizards & snakes already Had no set agenda, but managed to cover 7:4Kms ✅I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
16
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
10
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
9
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
