Why I’m running 50km this October
Over the past few months, I have started rebuilding my fitness with the goal of completing “40km at 40 years.”
This October, I’m adding a bit more purpose to that journey by running 50km across the month and raising $500 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Living in North Queensland, we understand how vast Australia is and how important access to emergency and essential healthcare can be for people in regional and remote communities. The RFDS helps make sure where someone lives does not determine whether they can receive the care they need.
I’ve started the fundraising with a $56 donation of my own. Throughout October, I’ll share every run, my progress towards 50km and the fundraising total.
If you’re able to support me, any donation—large or small—will help keep the Flying Doctor flying.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
1
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
1
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
1
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
