We're fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
We recently became grandparents for the second time. Our daughter Krysten gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Caleb. When only a few days old Caleb required extra emergency care. Below is a brief story of Krysten’s experience.
“Over the past 12 months, I have personally experienced just how important this service is. I have been on three flights with the RFDS. During my pregnancy, I was flown to Rockhampton after a visit to the Emerald Emergency Department.
Caleb has also racked up a few hours in the air with the help of the amazing RFDS crew. At just 5 days old, Caleb’s jaundice levels had reached the point where he required urgent treatment, and off we went to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Fifteen days later, we were incredibly fortunate to be eligible for an RFDS flight back to Rockhampton Hospital.
On every one of these flights, the support, care and genuine compassion shown by the RFDS staff is something I will never forget. One of my favourite memories will always be being able to breastfeed Caleb mid-flight! 🥹❤️”
Can you help?
The RFDS relies on thousands of individual donations, corporate partnerships and community fundraisers to continue providing this incredible service and to purchase critical medical equipment, including ventilators and defibrillators.
Our goal is to raise $1500, which will help raise valuable funds for the RFDS.
If you can, please follow the link below to help Penny and myself show our appreciation for this amazing service. Every donation, big or small, will help us give back to an organisation that has supported our family when we needed it most.
Thank you for helping us support the incredible work of the RFDS! ✈️❤️
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to our challenge today!
Thanks,
Paul and Penny
