Why I'm walking
Im walking this October to help other families like us that need to get to specialist care but live rurally.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
When our beautiful daughter was just three weeks old, what should have been a time filled with cuddles and precious first moments became the most frightening experience of our lives.
Our little one was diagnosed with RSV and quickly became critically ill. Living in a regional community, we knew our baby needed specialist care that wasn't available close to home. That's when the Royal Flying Doctor Service stepped in.
The RFDS team responded with incredible speed, compassion and professionalism. They carefully stabilised our tiny baby before flying us to Brisbane, where our child could receive the life-saving treatment they desperately needed.
As parents, there is no feeling more terrifying than watching your newborn struggle to breathe. But throughout the journey, the RFDS crew gave us reassurance, hope and confidence that our baby was in the very best hands.
Today, we are forever grateful that our little one is here with us. We know that without the Royal Flying Doctor Service, our story could have had a very different ending.
This fundraiser is our way of saying thank you. Every donation helps ensure that families like ours can receive emergency medical care when every second counts, no matter where they live.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give back to the people who helped save our baby's life.
