I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year
I’ve helped provide...

Laryngoscopes image

188

Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.

Life-saving medical chests image

118

Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.

Defibrillator Pads

My Updates

4 days

Saturday 4th Oct
after setting off from Port Clinton on Wednesday, 11 yo grandson Henry and I have today on j TVkk Km clocked up 40 km o the Yorke Peninsula Coastal trail. unfortunately today we had to reroute off the official trail as a section from Rogues Point to Pine Point is closed whilst trail being realigned. today detour was along the Yorke Highway, where we had to walk on uneven ground to get as far off road as possible. our destination was Pine Point, but unfortunately Henry suffered a severe knee pain below his patella. He insisted he could go on, but he clearly couldn’t. To cut a long story short a lovely couple saw us sitting under a tree in the shade, and gave us a lift to Pine Point Caravan Park where I have managed to get an on site van for the night, and his Dad has driven up from Adelaide to collect a very disappointed Henry. He has been amazing, and over 4 days we have received $120 in cash donations thanks to our TShirts and Henry’s charm. Tomorrow I will continue walking n
