Emptying the tank today 😂

I’m beyond exhausted and honestly just want to sit in the backyard with the wife, the boys and a few beers. I’ve got assignments hanging over my head, my attention being pulled in every direction, and I’m coming off the back end of a 24-hour shift. Day 4 of Oceans to Outback ✈️

Another 5.8km done this morning ✅ A very quiet Sunday morning with a bit of fog, a nice sunrise and plenty of birds along the way. I also had one of those awkward walking situations where another bloke came out of his driveway right in front of me and we ended up walking in tandem for about 500 metres 😂 What is the actual walking etiquette there? Do you speed up and overtake? Slow down and let them get ahead? Cross the road? Who knows 😂 That brings me to 17.45km down so far ✈️ Day 4 ✅ 5.8km

Day 3 of Oceans to Outback ✈️

A bit of a later one tonight — 2.29km after sundown ✅ Today was my Nana’s 82nd birthday and we had a big family reunion, so between finishing work at 9am and spending the day with everyone, I didn’t get a chance to walk until we got home tonight. Although with the amount of running around after the kids at the reunion, I probably should’ve just logged that as today’s activity 😂 I was lucky enough to have Leo come along with me tonight too, and hold my hand through the scary dark bits 🤣❤️ That brings me to 11.65km down so far! I’m also now over halfway to my $500 fundraising goal, with $301 raised! Day 2 of Oceans to Outback ✈️

Another 3.56km done ✅ This time I had some company for the walk, which definitely made it more enjoyable — even if it involved carrying children after the 200m mark and being led astray by the dog 😂 We did manage to catch a pretty decent sunset though! 9.36km down so far and $48.81 raised! Slowly chipping away at the challenge and raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
