Why I'm riding

In 2015 after triathlon racing for several years around the world representing Australia in Ironman and ITU Olympic world championships, a bike accident ended that chapter of my life. Forced retirement from the sport that had given me everything: purpose, community, health, and a belief in what the body and mind can do when pushed beyond its limits.

For nearly two decades, riding in particular had given me so much more beyond racing, and I want to put that back into something that matters and can help others.

That's why I'm taking on the RFDS Oceans to Outback ride in 2026.

Every kilometre I ride in the month of October goes toward supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service's essential services, which keep remote and regional Australians connected to healthcare that the rest of us take for granted.

My goal is to ride 1000km in the month of October and raise $1000 - $1 for every kilometre ridden.

I've deliberately set a goal that'll push my limits and I'm asking you to back me and support the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Whatever you can give goes directly toward keeping the RFDS in the air and on the ground for the people who need it most.

Cheers!

I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
