Buggy arvo stroll

The temperature was up today - beautiful for these Kimberley kids … but the BUGS! Midgies and flies galore! Nice stroll to check the post and a short trot along front beach before doubling back to home :)

Mental health awareness day

Friday morning I woke up in Esperance, at a motel on the street I spent my fist 5 years living on … the actual house is now holiday accommodation but I couldn’t book that one. I headed down to the esplanade, and wow! I haven’t been to Esperance other than for a very quick maintenance (hair), work and grocery supply top up trip a month or so ago - so it was so lovely to be able to take a moment in the morning between radio interviews and client support video links and my next maintenance visit … what a stunning place (and the aunties turned on the weather for me as I wandered and stopped to snap a pic for my folks at the front gate of number 4!) to have spent the first few hours of Mental Health Awareness Day - I could breathe - and enjoy my surroundings for a moment before the rest of the job for the day and the drive back to Hopetoun :)

May have spoken too soon about the weather!

After bragging that I was acclimatising at last night’s meeting - here I am with gloves on again this morning! 🥶 Good motivation to walk faster!

Rain, rain, rain

The past weekend saw 72mm rain fall in Kalgoorlie-Boulder but it didn’t stop my enthusiasm to walk…on the treadmill. It is very muddy now but I still managed a walk.

Sunday stroll

Two walking buddies this morning and a coffee stop for the return journey hit the Sunday spot!

Different view today

Living in the biosphere now and it doesn’t matter if it’s the ocean side or the Fitz side - it’s all spectacular! Jack loves a walk either side!

Day 2

Life has been a bit challenging, but a walk in the beautiful bush with the sun shining was just what the doctor ordered.

We're fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, we're taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, we hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to our challenge today!

Goodluck with the walk. It’s for a great cause and I am very grateful for the RFDS as they were there for me when I needed to be transported from Kununurra to Perth to get my appendix out urgently.
