I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year
I’ve helped provide...

My Updates

And so we begin

Wednesday 1st Oct
Today was the first day of the Oceans to Outback challenge so a friend and I hit the pavement this afternoon to log in my first walk. This is such a worthwhile organisation and I am so pleased to be a part of this year’s fundraising. Anyone who knows me will know my family, who live remotely in Queensland, have needed the help from the wonderful teams both in the air and who attend the outback clinics. I have had some fantastic donations so far and it has taken me past my very modest goal so I am going to raise it so I can make as big a contribution that I can. Anyone who would like to support me can go through my donations page on FB.

First walk

Saturday 27th Sep
A friend and I decided to check out a new rail walk being developed in our town so started a bit early for my kilometres as it was such a lovely afternoon for a walk.
