Why I'm walking
Lacing up the shoes again, Oceans to Outback is back for Year 5!
October is here, and I am taking on the RFDS Oceans to Outback challenge once again! This year marks the 5th anniversary of the event, and I am aiming to go even further to support the incredible work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Last year, thanks to your generous support, we absolutely smashed our targets, clocking 142 km and raising $1,715!
For regional, rural, and remote communities across Australia, access to prompt healthcare is not guaranteed. In an emergency, response time is everything. The funds raised go directly toward:
• Equipping and maintaining emergency aeromedical aircraft
• Upgrading vital, lifesaving medical equipment
• Providing essential primary clinics, including mental health and dental care, to folks who otherwise have no regular access
My goal this October is to log 210 km and raise $1000 to keep the Flying Doctor’s in the sky.
If you can chip in, even the cost of a coffee, every dollar makes a genuine impact for communities in the bush.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
7
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
4
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
4
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
Here's how much Nathan has raised
to keep the Flying Doctor flying!
Nathan has raised a grand total of $1,992 over 2 years!
