Donate $42 to support my 42km run I’ll be completing in one day this october to help keep the royal flying doctor service flying!

This year I turned 42 and will be running 42km in one day in October along the Gold Coast. Starting at the Oceanside and finishing at Outback Steakhouse in honour of the Oceans 2 Outback theme.

We are asking if you could kindly donate $42, a dollar for each km I’m running or any amount you are able to donate is much appreciated to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year
I’ve helped provide...

Laryngoscopes image

25

Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.

Life-saving medical chests image

16

Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.

Defibrillator Pads

My Updates

He made it!!

Monday 27th Oct
A big shout out to all Mick’s friends and family who joined him along the run yesterday and everyone for their generous donations and encouraging words. He made 44km and his son ran to the half way point with him!! It was such a great achievement for a meaningful cause. We still haven’t quite reached our fundraising goal yet, if you can help out. A big thanks to Adrian for putting it all together in a video, find it in the Facebook comments.

From bees to bush to oceans to outback

Sunday 12th Oct
At the end of October, I’m running a 42km Marathon for the Oceans to Outback challenge. Starting at 4:20am and aiming to finish in under 4 hours 20 mins to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. As a beekeeper working in the outback, I know how essential their service is. Please donate if you can, every dollar helps keep this life-saving support in the air! 🩵✈️
