I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

In June 2024, Our 4 year old required Aeromedical support whilst we were camping in the remote town of Daly Waters, NT. We met the plane at a small makeshift runway. The pitch-black night was lit up with only our car headlights, I boarded with the 3 children and travelled 600 km to Darwin Children's Hospital, while hubby packed down the van and met us there.
We have been made acutely aware of the vastness of medical services in Rural Outback Australia. It was advised to us that we stay close to medical support on our journey home.
Our 3000km trip back to Medowie, NSW we mapped routes and made plans to only stop at towns that had community hospitals, sometimes this would require driving most of the day.
This experience has made us extremely aware of the importance to equity of healthcare and how precious these services are to communities and fellow travelers.
I will be running 98kms this October, please support this great cause.
