I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. 

I’m running 87km throughout October to help keep the Flying doctors in the air, on the road and at the clinics.  That is 1km for every RFDS aircraft across Australia  

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

In Heathcote, the RFDS provides a free community transport program. This service recognises that people living in rural communities face additional barriers in accessing health care and social connection due to geographically spread location and limited transport options. 

The program provides free transportation to eligible people to their health appointments or social support activities. It is such an important and wonderful service and has been life-changing to the town’s many elderly, vulnerable and mobility impaired locals  

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work.
