Why I'm walking
I'm walking and raising money for the RFDS because I live in the city and unlike the four times I have needed urgent care, for people in the bush and the regions, Ambos, Doctors and Nurses are not just around the corner. The RFDS and the people they care for need your support.
I'll do the walking, you do the donating.
From October 1st I'm walking 87Km and fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

87 Km is not far when you consider that Australia is a bloody big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, there's no ambos or hospital just around the corner. For some people, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m doing my bit to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
If I can walk 87Km, you can certainly all chip in some coin to help keep people alive and give them medical care.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
3
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
2
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
2
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
