Why I'm running

I am proud to announce that this October I will once again be raising money and awareness for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) as part of the 2026 Oceans to Outback challenge. This year I am aiming to raise $1,500 while running 150 km over the month.

This cause is personal to me. My mothers side of the family has lived and worked in rural Australia for most of their lives, and their access to urgent medical care has always reminded me never to take what I have for granted. Supporting the RFDS means supporting people like them, and everyone else across rural and remote Australia who relies on that same lifeline.

Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians through 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services, nearly one person every two minutes. I hope my efforts this October can help them keep doing that life-saving work. Any support, whether its a donation or just sharing this message, makes a real difference.
