I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

This year I have two reasons for participating in the RFDS "Oceans to Outback" fundraiser for the third year in a row.  Firstly, Debbie and I recently completed a 6.000 km road trip through the NT and Western Queensland.  While no harm came to us, if it had, in the form of a road accident or medical event for example, it would have been the RFDS that would have come to our aid.  So many people are on the road in rural and remote areas these days, and it's nice to know the RFDS is there for us all if we need their services.
Secondly, and most importantly, I doing it to honour a very good friend, Judy Cooper, who passed away on 3rd May after a short battle with cancer.  Judy was a passionate supporter of the RFDS, and in 1998 as Outback Charity Queen she raised an astonishing $50,000 for the RFDS.  While I could never match her magnificent efforts, I'm hoping all my Facebook friends will get me to my much smaller target of $500.  So how about it friends?  Any of you may find yourselves in the wilds of outback Australia and in need of RFDS, and I'd also love you to help me honour Judy by donating to an iconic Australian organisation.

So far this year
