I'm fundraising for the royal flying doctor service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes! In 2011 while living in Karratha, I went into premature labour at 33 weeks pregnant and without a NICU to provide critical care for a baby so small, the only option was to be urgently transported to Perth - over 1500km away. RFDS swooped to the rescue and above all safely transported us, where in the very early hours of the following morning my boy arrived - on Mother's Day! My boy has grown from his tiny 1.8kilo self to a typical healthy, taller than his mother, 14 year old, thanks to the amazing Royal Flying Doctor Service. Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
