Donate now >>Walking for the RFDS — Giving Back to a Service That Has Given Us So Much ❤️
Just after Christmas in December 2021, I needed the RFDS to transport me from Mount Gambier to Adelaide while experiencing threatened preterm labour. Then, in March 2025, we needed the RFDS once again — this time to transport myself and my precious 33-week-old daughter from Mount Gambier to Adelaide so she could receive critical care. Twice, at two of the most frightening and uncertain times in our lives, the RFDS was there for us. Because of this incredible service, we were able to access the urgent and specialised care we needed. The compassion, professionalism and care we received will stay with me and my family forever. There truly don’t seem to be words big enough to express how grateful I am to the RFDS for what they have given us. Now, I am walking to raise funds for the RFDS and to give something back to a service that has given my family so much. ❤️ Every step I take is a step of gratitude — for the care we received, for the people who helped us, and for the fact that this incredible service is there when families need it most. I would be so grateful for your support, whether that is through a donation, sharing our story, or simply cheering me on. Thank you, RFDS, for being there when we needed you most. I hope I can help ensure you continue to be there for other families when they need you too. ❤️💛I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
12
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
7
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
7
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.

For our precious family who received life changing care from RFDS. And also remembering the care received by RFDS for our Dad, Malcolm, enabling him to receive the care he needed in Adelaide. Forever grateful.
