I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Those who followed my recent travels might have registered my visit to the RFDS museum in Darwin.

I was moved that the foresight, vision and persistence, largely of one man, led to the creation of this excellent service which reaches so many who would otherwise be out of the reach of medical assistance.

Not least amongst their work is knowing of 2 people, 1 of whom I count as a good friend, who have benefitted from their service - and that is in Tasmania.

Australia is a vast country, and I have recently visited parts of it that are beyond easy reach by road.

The vessel on which I travelled had on board a RFDS medical chest - a very comprehensive collection and many remote places also have these.

This October, I’m once again taking on a month-long challenge to walk a distance to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reaches one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
