I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a huge country, and after working in remote mining communities, I’ve seen firsthand just how isolated some people are. When you’re hours from the nearest town, let alone a hospital, the Royal Flying Doctor Service isn’t just a convenience. It can be the difference between life and death.
This October, I’m challenging myself to a month-long fitness fundraiser to give something back to the people who are always there when regional and remote Australians need them most.
My goal isn’t just to raise money. If I reach my fundraising target, the funds will help the RFDS provide vital mental health training and support for healthcare workers caring for people in rural and remote communities. Mental health support can be just as lifesaving as emergency medical care, and everyone deserves access to it, no matter where they live.
Every year, the RFDS helps more than 330,000 Australians through emergency retrievals, primary healthcare and essential medical services. That’s one person every two minutes.
If you’re able to, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps keep the Flying Doctor flying and brings critical healthcare, including mental health support, to the people who need it most.
Thank you for helping me make a difference. 🧡
