Why I'm running
I’ve seen the RFDS up close. Walking through the museum in Broken Hill, then getting a private tour of the Kalgoorlie base with my cousin Simon, one of their incredible, calm-under-pressure pilots. The crew, the planes, the huge distances they cover to reach people... it stays with you.
I’ve also been the person waiting for help. After a fall hiking, I know that fear and pain while you wait and hope someone gets to you.
The RFDS is that "someone" for so many Aussies living remote.
So in October I’ll be running (!!) 98km to raise funds for them. Want to sponsor a km? Even 50c or $1 a km makes a difference — every dollar goes straight to fuel, medical supplies, and keeping those planes in the air.
