Oceans to Outback – 87km for the Royal Flying Doctor Service ✈️

Australia is a big country and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate medical care is not always guaranteed. For some communities, the nearest hospital is an eight-hour drive away.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. As a mum, my family has experienced firsthand just how important the Royal Flying Doctor Service is during frightening times when my children have needed urgent medical care.

These experiences have shown me how vital it is to have access to medical support when you need it most, and how much families across Australia rely on this incredible service.

For some families, the Flying Doctor is more than just a service.. it’s a lifeline. 

Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians through emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services - that’s one person every two minutes!

This October, I’m taking on the Oceans to Outback challenge, walking 87km throughout the month to help raise funds for an organisation that means so much to my family.
