Clocked up 5 km this morning with Nala and Arki who are more than happy to accompany me. Beautiful morning to be out and about. Got caught in a Willy Willy at the Mahomets Beach park.

I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Unfortunately I have had need of the RFDS service twice. Time for me to give back for others in need.

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on the month-long fitness challenge to help raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes! I was one of those persons twice! Once I had to be air lifted out or Coral Bay. They landed on a salt pan to pick me up then had to get permission to fly low to avoid making my condition worse. I couldn’t have had better care
