Why I'm running
I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
33
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
21
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
19
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.

My Updates
8 km, no mobile coverage, and a lesson in dependability
Sunday 4th Oct
Today’s Oceans to Outback kilometres took me on an 8 km trail run close to Yengo National Park.
It’s rugged, there is no mobile coverage, and I’m very aware that I’m sharing the bush with the animals that call it home. I love exploring, but this is not the place to wander off track.
My husband knows my route and when to expect me back. If I’m not back within 1.5 to 2 hours, I know he’ll come looking.
It made me reflect on dependability more broadly. In our families, our friendships and at work, trust is often built in very simple ways: doing what we said we would do, being there when it matters and showing up consistently.
That is why this cause is so personal to me.
Our family experienced that same reassurance from the RFDS while travelling in the outback. When help was needed, they were there.
And that is why I keep showing up for Oceans to Outback, now for the fifth year running.
If the idea of showing up when it matters resonates with you, I’d love you to support the RFDS with a donation and follow along as I continue the journey.
Every contribution, big or small, helps make it count:
