I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year
I’ve helped provide...

My Updates

3rd october

Wednesday 8th Oct
Mum joined Isabella and I for a 5km walk in Kingaroy along the rail trail. We were prepped with a umbrella to protect us against any magpies that wanted to swoop. Thankfully it must have been too hot for them.

Bumpy start

Wednesday 1st Oct
Day one of our RFDS challenge 🚶‍♀️🚁 Not quite the smooth start we’d hoped for, but that’s life with two kids in tow! Our 4-year-old co-pilot was off to a flying start on his bike… until he stacked it right on top of an ants nest 🫣 Cue tears, a dramatic lay-down, and mum to the rescue — thankfully no bites! Meanwhile, our 7-month-old passenger snoozed most of the way and handled the bumpy terrain like a champ. Between doubling back, rock-collecting, and drink breaks, we managed to log our first 3kms. It may have taken three times as long, but that’s all part of the fun (and the challenge!). A big thank you to everyone who’s donated already — your support means the world 🤍 If you’d like to contribute, the link is below. https://www.oceanstooutback.org.au/fundraisers/kaseydownes/oceans-to-outback?utm_source=mobileapp
