Why I'm running
98 km, one for every year the Royal Flying Doctor Service has provided life-saving healthcare. I camp in the bush a lot, so I know how remote this country gets, and how much people out there rely on them.

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

Help me keep the Flying Doctor flying
Thursday 1st OctAustralia is a huge country, and plenty of people live, work and travel a long way from the nearest hospital. When something goes wrong out there, help can be hours away.
That's why I'm raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. They provide life-saving healthcare for people who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia, and they've been doing it for 98 years. It's a not-for-profit charity, and volunteers help too, driving people to the specialist appointments with community transport they'd otherwise miss.
So this October I'm running 98 km, one kilometre for every year. I'm a full-time uni student and it's end of semester, so I'll be fitting the runs in around study. If you can chip in, you're helping keep that service in the air for the next 98. Thank you.
