Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This October, I’m taking part in the Oceans to Outback challenge, walking 90km throughout October to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Having lived in rural and regional towns where the RFDS can be the only option when something goes wrong, I know how important this service is to communities outside our major cities.
When you live hours away from a hospital or emergency care, having the Flying Doctor there when you need them can make all the difference.
Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians, providing emergency retrieval and healthcare services across some of the most remote parts of the country. That’s one person every two minutes.
So this October, I’ll be getting my 90km in and raising as much as I can to help keep the Flying Doctor flying.
If you’re able to donate, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar helps make sure people living in rural, regional and remote Australia can access the care they need, no matter where they live💙
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
2
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
1
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
1
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
