I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year

My 360.4 km ride for royal flying doctors: help me reach my goal!

Saturday 9th Aug
Hi there, my name is Jesse Moyle, and I’m a proud father of two beautiful kids. As a dad, I know how important it is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those we love. That's why I’ve decided to take on a personal challenge that not only pushes my limits but also supports an organization that does incredible work for people in need: the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Why the Royal Flying Doctors? The RFDS is truly one of the most essential services in Australia, providing emergency care and medical services to people in remote or rural areas. Whether it’s responding to a medical emergency, a natural disaster, or simply providing critical healthcare where it’s most needed, the RFDS makes a real difference in people’s lives. That’s why I’m putting my energy into this challenge—to help raise much-needed funds for their ongoing work. My Challenge: The Big Ride To raise $1,000 for the RFDS, I’m committing to a 360.4 km round trip ride from Perth CBD to Bunbury and back. That’s a two-day ride, with the goal of covering 180.2 km each day. It’s going to be a serious challenge, but one I’m excited to take on. The ride kicks off on Saturday, October 4th, and I’ll be riding all the way to Bunbury, with the return leg on Sunday, October 5th. Every day leading up to this big event, I’ve been getting ready by doing various training rides, adjusting to all kinds of environments and terrains. From the hustle of the city streets to more peaceful country roads, I’m preparing for the unpredictable—just like the RFDS does every day. It’s been tough, but each ride brings me one step closer to my goal. Fundraising Goal: Help Me Hit $1,000 I’ve set a goal of raising $1,000 for the RFDS by October 4th, and I’m aiming to hit this milestone before the start of my big ride. Honestly, I would love to exceed this goal, as the more funds we raise, the more support we can give to the RFDS, and the more motivated I’ll be to crush this challenge. Every dollar counts. Your donations will go directly to the RFDS, supporting their life-saving work and helping provide emergency care to those in need. If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t, simply sharing this page with friends and family also makes a huge difference! What's Next? With just a few weeks to go until my big ride, I’ll be posting updates here and on my social channels to keep you all in the loop. I’ll share how the training is going, any challenges I face, and of course, progress on the fundraising front. I’m excited about this journey, and I know I can count on your support to reach (and hopefully exceed!) my target. Thank you for taking the time to read about my challenge, and for helping me help the Royal Flying Doctors. Let’s ride for a cause that truly matters! --- Call to Action: Donate to my fundraiser here [link]. Follow my journey and share my story with your friends!
