Why do I put my heart and soul into the RFDS Oceans to Outback Challenge?

So the next person who goes through what I went through has a fighting chance.
When I contracted necrotising fasciitis, a life-threatening infection, every second mattered. The seriousness of my condition meant urgent medical intervention was critical, and I often think about what my outcome might have been if the Royal Flying Doctor Service hadn’t been accessible to me.
I know firsthand just how important the RFDS is, and that’s why this challenge means so much to me. I’m walking throughout October to help raise vital funds so someone else facing a serious medical emergency has the same fighting chance I did.
