Why I'm running
I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

For years, we took part in the Bourke Police and Community Outback Trek — long days on red dirt, big skies, and a group of people who made the outback feel like home. It was never just a trek. It was a tradition built on community, adventure, and raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Even though the Trek is no longer operating, the impact it had — and the cause behind it — hasn’t faded. If anything, it’s become clearer. We’ve personally seen how essential the RFDS is for people living, working and travelling across remote Australia. When you’re hundreds of kilometres from the nearest town, they’re the ones who show up. They’re the ones who make help possible.
That’s why this year, I’m taking on something new: the Ocean to Outback Challenge.
Throughout October, I’ll be running 87 kilometres — every step dedicated to raising money and awareness for the incredible work the RFDS continues to do. It’s my way of honouring the spirit of the Trek, keeping the tradition alive in a new form, and supporting a service that means so much to so many.
If you’d like to donate to this worthy cause and support me as I pound the pavement, it would be truly appreciated. Every contribution helps the RFDS keep delivering lifesaving care to those who need it most.
