Why I'm running
I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This October, I’m pushing myself physically to help support an organisation that makes such an incredible difference to Australians, particularly those living in rural and remote communities.
Two thirds of the Australian population live around the regional coastlines, while the remaining third live across rural and remote areas — sometimes more than a six-hour drive from the closest township.
Access to health services can be a real challenge. Services that are taken for granted in the city are routinely just not possible outside metropolitan areas, creating real hardship for families and communities living in the bush.
This cause is particularly close to our heart. In 2025, our new baby boy was flown to Rockhampton with respiratory distress, with the RFDS playing a vital role in getting him to the medical care he needed. Knowing that services like the Flying Doctor can be there when families need them most has given me a very personal understanding of just how important their work is.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service works to reduce the disparity in access to healthcare. They bring emergency medical and primary health services to people living in areas where those services simply aren’t readily available. They make it possible for people to live, work and travel across this vast continent with the knowledge that help can reach them when they need it.
Please support my fundraising efforts today. Every donation, big or small, will help the RFDS continue providing vital healthcare and ensuring that Australians can access the care they need, no matter where they live. ❤️✈️
