Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Earlier this year my daughter Poppi required emergency care in a Children’s Hospital a long way from our home.
Poppi was septic and in a critical condition and our local hospital did not have the resources to treat her. We were airlifted to Brisbane via the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Poppi was able to receive the treatment she needed and made a recovery. Poppi is still currently being investigated for her medical condition and we require to be in Brisbane a lot for appointments and surgeries.
Without RFDS Poppi would not of received the care she needed or meet with specialist that our local hospital did not have.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
5
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
3
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
3
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
