Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

Growing up in a small outback town, I’ve always understood how different healthcare can be in rural Australia. We’re lucky to have a local hospital and healthcare services, but being a small community means those services are limited, and sometimes the care you need simply isn’t available locally. That’s where organisations like the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) become so incredibly important.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long walking challenge to raise money for the RFDS. I’ll be putting in the steps, pushing myself to go further, and hopefully raising as much as I can for an organisation that plays such an important role in communities like mine.
The RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians every year, providing vital emergency and primary healthcare to people across rural and remote Australia.
Being from the outback myself, this cause is especially close to my heart. I’ve grown up knowing that while we have healthcare in our community, there are times when people need care that simply isn’t available close to home. The RFDS helps bridge that gap when it matters most.
This October, I’m walking for rural and remote communities, for the people who need that extra help, and for the incredible work the Flying Doctor does every day.
Every step and every donation can make a difference and help keep the Flying Doctor flying. If you’re able to support my challenge, I’d be incredibly grateful. No donation is too small.
Thank you for supporting me and this incredibly important cause!
