Why I'm walking

In the last four and ahalf years of living in remote western australia i have had to board the RFDS with three of my children. 

Last October my seven year old son Logan went to school half an hour later our world was turned upside down when he colapsed in his classroom and went into cardiac arrest. We boarded the RFDS plane not knowing weather he would make the flight to perth but we couldnt get the life saving help he needed here in kalgoorlie. 

That flight felt like a life time but i knew we were in good hands and he was going to the best place we could to help him, Sadly he passed away two days later.

The RFDS brought my sons body back home to kalgoorlie and removed alot of the stress of getting him home.

My first oceans to outback my children and i walked to thank them for helping my daughter when she was a new born and to bring awareness to just how vital their services are to remote communities like ours here in the goldfeilds

This October, i am walking in honor of my son Logan and to raise much needed founds to help others who have to board an RFDS flight to save a life. 

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
