I'm riding this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

Something compelled me to join this fund raiser and when the calling is there, I decided to pursue it. Starting the training session and creating goals was a great idea, although at 76 I decided to try the basic entry of 247 kms and $500 in funds. Starting with my elderly riders group and some close friends, $500 was achieved. So decided to push on 🚴♂️ So far exceeded my funds goal and almost (!) $3000. The downside, 1stOctober in bed with a full on flu. Can’t wait to go, go, go on full flight.I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
