Why I'm walking
Australia is a vast country, and for people living in remote, rural and regional communities, access to healthcare isn’t always guaranteed. For some, the nearest hospital or medical service can be hours away.
Having grown up on a sheep and cattle station in rural Australia, with the closest town an hour away, I understand firsthand the challenges of living far from essential services. Growing up in a large family in a small rural community, I saw how important reliable access to healthcare is, particularly when medical help is a long way from home.
I know how vital services like the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) are when they’re needed most. With my family also heavily involved in healthcare, supporting this cause is especially close to my heart.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for the RFDS and help more Australians access the care they need, no matter where they live. By pushing myself to go further, I hope to raise as much as possible to support their incredible work.
Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians through its 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services — that’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can help keep the Flying Doctors flying and ensure vital healthcare reaches those who need it most. ❤️✈️
Please consider donating to my challenge. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
Thank you so much for your support! ❤️
I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), an organisation that provides essential healthcare to Australians living in rural, regional and remote communities.
In a country as vast as Australia, access to medical care can never be taken for granted. For many people, the nearest hospital or medical service is hours away, making the work of the RFDS truly life-saving.
The RFDS provides 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services, reaching more than 330,000 Australians every year. That’s one person every two minutes!
Throughout October, I’ll be pushing myself physically and going the extra distance to raise as much as possible for this incredible cause. Every dollar raised will help support the RFDS and the vital services they provide to people who need medical care, no matter how remote their location.
❤️ Please consider donating to my challenge. Every contribution, big or small, will help support the Flying Doctors and the communities who rely on them.
Together, we can help keep the Flying Doctors flying! ✈️❤️
Thank you so much for your support.
