Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to genuinely do what I can to help people who need it most, to make this world a better place, to be a role model for my two children, to help the RFDS!

This October, I’m doing something a little different… and a first for me. 🤍I’ve signed up for the Oceans to Outback challenge, walking throughout October to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Living rurally has given me a much greater understanding of just how important services like the Flying Doctor are. Whilst my family live close enough to medical centres and hospitals, I am connected to rural communities that live out of town, becoming much more aware of the distance to medical help — and how much rural and remote families rely on services like the RFDS when something goes wrong. I also know how quick something can go wrong. Since moving to a rural property, teaching my two children to be fully aware of their surroundings at all times is a must!
There is genuinely no pressure ❤️I honestly understand how tough the cost of living is for everyone. I do know that every little bit helps - if you are in a position to spare a few dollars, I would be incredibly grateful 🙌 Otherwise, to my family and friends, please check in on me every now and then to make sure I’m up and about walking these kilometres! 42kms for the month of October is my goal!
This is something that I’m really looking forward to, anything I achieve is a bonus. It’s just such a worthy cause as this is my little bit to help those people in need!
