I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a huge country, and for those of us living in remote, rural and regional communities, access to medical care isn’t always as simple as driving to the nearest hospital. Sometimes, that hospital can be hours and hours away.

Living in Roxby Downs, the Royal Flying Doctor Service is a huge part of our community and provides a sense of reassurance when we need it most. Knowing that the Flying Doctors are there when urgent medical care is needed brings an incredible amount of relief to people living in remote areas.

I’ve personally used the RFDS twice, and I also know so many friends and family members who have relied on their services. It’s something you never really take for granted when you live so far from major medical facilities.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help raise much-needed funds for the RFDS and support the incredible work they do for people across Australia.

Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians, providing 24-hour emergency retrievals and primary healthcare services — that’s around one person every two minutes!

I’m going to challenge myself to go further this October, and I’d love your support along the way. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help keep the Flying Doctor flying and ensure they can continue being there for communities like ours when we need them most.
