We are fundraising for the royal flying doctor service

 As many of you know, in the space of just over a year, our little family has experienced the incredible work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service not once, but twice. Both of our daughters have required medical care that could not be provided to them locally: Tahlee a few months before her second birthday, and Elly on the very day she was born. On both occasions, Dylan and I found ourselves in the sky alongside them, placing our trust in the extraordinary care and professionalism of the RFDS team. 

We only recently spoke about how we wanted to give back and do something to support the hospitals that looked after our girls, and we still will. But for now, we are going to support the heroes who made those hospital journeys possible and try and get fit along the way. 

This October, Dylan and I will be running a combined 200 kilometres to raise vital funds for the RFDS — a service that not only helped us in our time of need, but has helped many of our friends and members of our small community in theirs as well. 

If you or someone you care about has had the unfortunate privilege of using the RFDS, or if you'd simply like to cheer us on, motivate us and contribute to a cause that’s so very important to our region then we’d be grateful for your support. 

While we sincerely hope our family will never need their help again, we know its inevitable that people around us that we care about will.
